On Trial
23 of 28 potential jurors chosen
Jury selection is moving along, with 23 prospective jurors selected as of 2:45 p.m. in the Ray Joseph Dandridge murder trial.
Among those struck for cause today was a man whose brother was slain in Richmond in 1988. After an arrest was made, Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Learned Barry prosecuted that case. Barry is also a prosecutor in this trial.
Another man was struck because he wrote on his jury questionnaire last week that Dandridge and Ricky Javon Gray looked like “thugs” in their police photos that have appeared on television and in the newspaper, and that they “look guilty.“
